A Walmart Service center called my attention to a lip crack on the inside of my Cadillac alloy wheel during a routine tire rotation. They orginally installed the tires and denied any responsibitality for the damage. I think it would be really hard to do doing a tire rotation. Even if they were new tires and they threw them on a mounting machine, it's relatively gentle. You should think back to any major potholes that may've caught you buy surprise. I think the bottom line here is that it would cost a lot more to prove how it happened than a new rim. Chalk it up to experience and replace the rim.
