What is one benefit and one down side to car tires/wheels having very high moment of inertias.?

The advantage is that the ride is smoother. Small changes in acceleration are hardly noticed. The serious disadvantage is that acceleration is very costly in terms of energy. This is a big problem when the car must move in stop and go traffic.
