as stupid as that sounds to some of you please don't be rude. ok i need new tires for a cross country trip so i was trying to price them online but then it said wheels or tires,so whats the difference? i know i need 17" for a dodge ram 1500 does anyone have suggestions on the cheapest place to buy these and approx how much it will cost?|||Wheels are the rims....and tires are just the rubber tires....it sux they make you buy them seperate...because in my opinion a Wheel is the entire thing with the rim and rubber tires......but ya wheels are the rims...and tires are just the rubber|||Ha ha i love how nobody ever knows this, Wheels are the silver things u need and tires are the black, rubber. essentially that's the way to dumb it down for most people wheels/Rims are what makes the car look good and the tires make sure u can go somewhere|||Tires are the rubber that meets the ground, and the wheels (or rims) are the centers that attach to the axles.|||the tires goes on the wheels. you see the lug nuts? well that,s the wheels.|||wheel is metal thingy inside of black rubber tire..
